He makes some great points and I'd encourage you to read the book.

Rule #1 - Only Check Email Twice Daily. It amazes me how numerous folk differentiate me they go out of town or on holiday and only check email once journal and the globe reserves on rotating. If you can do it on vacation, why can't you do it at family? Only check email two times daily. I've chosen 12:00 midday and 4:00 afternoon as my times and arrange to mow that down to equitable once a day at 4:00 within the next 60 days.
Rule #2 - Separate Business and Personal. Operate with a assorted email box for both your commerce and personal email. This keeps private crisis from spilling over into business and vice versa.
